Rehabilitation can be an important part of the recovery process after an injury, illness, or surgery. Partners HealthCare is proud to be affiliated with the nationally known Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, which includes specialty rehabilitation, long-term acute care hospitals, and nearly two dozen outpatient centers offering a wide variety of services.
The care teams of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network have received national recognition for their patient programs, services, and processes. Its flagship, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Boston, serves as a teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School and has consistently been recognized as one of the top rehabilitation hospitals in the country, ranked in 2012 as #5 by U.S. News and World Report.
The Spaulding Network offers inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, and skilled nursing and therapy services.
Inpatient rehabilitation is for patients who require intensive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation services. It is designed to improve function and promote each patient's highest degree of independence.
Outpatient Services--from rehabilitation programs after surgery or illness to pain management, sports medicine and injury prevention--are available at 23 Spaulding outpatient centers in Eastern Massachusetts.
Skilled nursing facilities offer short-term care for those recovering from an illness or injury, as well as long-term care for those who no longer can stay at home.
Partners HealthCare at Home (PHH) extends our continuum of rehabilitation right into the comfort of home. Following injury, surgery, or illness, rehabilitation therapists help patients regain strength and independence.
